Phragmites mapping by UWGB

 Phragmites mapping by UWGB:

As has been the case for the last several years CLAA is involved with efforts to eradicate or control phragmites in and around Clark lake. This involves identifying and mapping pockets of the invasive and then getting permits and having volunteers apply chemicals in the fall during our "phragmites Fest" day.

The Ridges has received a grant to treat phragmites on its own and neighboring properties. CLAA worked with the Ridges to secure the grant so  this year our mapping will be done in cooperation with UWGB.  The mapping process will be no different than in the past, the only change is you may see unfamiliar faces of students instead of your neighbors. Please cooperate with this joint effort just as you have in the past.

If there are any questions or concerns please contact either myself or the Ridges representative Brian Forest brian@ridgessanctuary.org  920-839-2802.
